    Mental Health America is dedicated to helping all people lead healthier lives . Find fact sheets & articles about living with mental illness and other mental health issues on their website www.nmha.org.

    A proud affiliate of NMHA, Mental Health America of Los Angeles is a nonprofit organization that uses four cornerstones – services, education, advocacy and training – to create opportunities for adults and young adults with mental illness to recover to full, equal lives.     NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a grassroots organization that serves individual communities throughout the nation by providing support to people with mental illness and their families, reducing stigma, and educating the community. Its mission is to eradicate mental illnesses and to improve the quality of life for persons of all ages who are affected by mental illnesses. NAMI is a great resource for family, friends, and community members who are looking to inform themselves and are seeking support.     The National Consumer Self Help Clearinghouse is the first national technical assistance center of its kind. NCSHC connects people to self-help and advocacy resources and offers expertise to and about peer-run groups. For more information, visit their website at http://www.mhselfhelp.org

    Receiving Services from MHA Village

    The Village Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) is the entryway to Village membership. There is a “no wrong door ” approach at HAP and anyone who is interested in receiving services should feel free to come during drop-in center hours .
